Junior Kings Top Weekend Series with Jr Pics

Sep. 30 - Springfield, MA. Asst Captain Dan Kacerosky exploded in scoring this weekend, with a hat trick and 7 points to lead the Jr. Kings past the Jr. Pics 5-0 and 5-2.

The Kings dominated the play in both games, out-hustling and out-muscling the young Jr. Pics. On Saturday, Zach Scott picked up the shutout, with 8 players picking up points, including rookie Mike Stopen with his first goal of the season. New players Stephen McGeary, Matt Tantillo and Keith O’Connor all had solid games. The Kings penalty kill unit extended it’s perfect record of no goals allowed this season. On Sunday, Connor Widenmeyer picked up the win, while Dan Kacerosky figured in on all the goals. Coach Golczewski was “pleased to see the team gelling and moving in the right direction. The power play unit was much improved.” The Kings won 5-0 on Saturday and 5-2 on Sunday.
