Kings Breeze by Boston

Jan 19 - Saugus, MA.  The Kings Junior team galloped past a stunned Blackhawks squad this weekend. The kings came out fast and furious, tallying 4 unanswered goals by Keith O’Connor, Alex Leininger, Joe Gunerman and Kevin LoGuidice.  Boston was never allowed to get in the game and the Kings enjoyed a scoring bonanza, with ten Kings players picking up points. 

Rookie Al Leininger notched a pair of goals, Ben Scott had hat trick, Kevin LoGuidice had five points for the night, and Will DeFusco had four. Zach Scott got the shutout for the Kings with a final score of 12-0. Scoring:  LoGuidice (2g, 3a), DeFusco (1g, 3a), B. Scott (3g), Leininger (2g, 1a), Kacerosky (3a), O’Connor (1g,1a),Vassilev (1g, 1a), Rassadkin (1g,1a), Foster (2a),Cervo (2a). Saturday night the Kings got right to business with an unassisted goal by captain Ben Scott, who ended up with four points for the night.  Boston quickly answered back with goal, but Dan Kacerosky and Kevin LoGuidice both found the back of the net to make the score 3-1 at the end of the first.  Boston managed another score in the 2nd, but it was all Kings after that.  Vinnie Cervo and team point leader Kevin LoGuidice each had two goals for the night. Joe Gunerman was solid on D and also notched a pair of assists. Connor Widenmeyer was credited with the win in net. Final Score Kings 8- Blackhawks- 2.
